self imposed guilt caused by tramatic happenings can lead to the danika syndrome... if you kill your children and live to live with it, you can go crazy... the movie is non-linear going between the the real, the surreal and the possible... (1)the real: danika's brother being killed by a car when he ran into the street to retrieve the ball, danika finding her husband having an affair with the nanny, daninka running the red light and being hit by the school bus, danika sitting on the park bench as a homeless person, danika pushing the cart down the sidewalk...(2) the surreal: everything else in the movie with the exception of (3) the possible: everyone grows up and lives happily ever after.. watch the movie again and decide for your self...BillyGeneC
